Conmigo vs Google Calendar

Updated November 2026

Google Calendar is a free, all-purpose calendar for running your own schedule, and it is at its best with Gmail, Android and work. Conmigo is a social calendar for making plans with friends and family, and it syncs both ways with Google Calendar, so you can keep using both.

If most of your week is meetings, Google Calendar already does that job well. If you want to see your people more often, Conmigo adds what turns "we should get together" into a plan: invites anyone can answer, a conversation on every event, and your whole year on one screen.

Can I share a Google Calendar with friends?

Yes. You can share a Google Calendar with anyone by email and choose how much they see, from free/busy only to full editing. They get an email and click its link to add your calendar.

Conmigo's sharing is built around friends. You pick the people and the calendars, then choose full details, titles and times only, or busy slots only. Each event can also have its own visibility, so a private appointment stays private on a calendar you share. If a friend hasn't shared with you yet, you can ask, and they can say yes in a tap.

Can people without Google Calendar RSVP to my event?

Yes. Google Calendar emails the invitation, and guests reply with Yes, No or Maybe.

In Conmigo, you send a link by text or any app you like. Your friend sees the cover photo, date, place, description and any itinerary in their browser, then types their name to answer. After that, they can join the comments and add photos. If they opt in, they get a text when the time or place changes.

Does Conmigo replace Google Calendar?

It doesn't have to. Conmigo syncs both ways with Google Calendar, so an event you create or change in one shows up in the other. Your work meetings can stay in Google, and your plans with friends get a home built for them. Your first connected account is free.

Does Google Calendar have a year view?

Yes, on a computer, alongside Day, Week, Month, Schedule and 4 days.

In Conmigo, the year is one of the main views, on your phone as well as the web. Every plan, trip and birthday sits on one screen, so you can see the year coming. You can switch on a wall-calendar layout, with days down the side and months across the top, and print it as a poster for the fridge.

When Google Calendar is the better choice

  • Your calendar is mostly work. Meet links, working hours, booking pages and Gmail reservations all live in one place.
  • You want a native Android app. Conmigo runs in your phone's browser, but there is no Android app.
  • Several people edit one calendar. Google lets you give others permission to make changes. Conmigo's sharing levels set how much people see.
  • You take appointments. A personal Google Account can make a booking page.
  • You want it on your wrist. Google Calendar works on Wear OS and Apple Watch.

Details about the other app come from its own website, help pages and app store listings, checked in November 2026.
